Selection of Recycling Facility

The ship recycling process begins with the development and approval of a Ship Recycling Facility Plan (SRFP) by an authorized yard, ensuring regulatory compliance. The shipowner prepares the required Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) before a final survey paves the way for the International Ready for Recycling Certificate. Upon certification, the dismantling phase proceeds under strict oversight, and a final statement of completion confirms that the vessel has been responsibly and sustainably recycled.
